A few months ago I bought “The Primal Blueprint” by Mark Sisson. The book practically reads itself, I finished it in two days (which really does say a lot, I’ve never been a fast reader). It is basically an outline to get one started on living “primal”. The logic starts: with the advent of agriculture ten thousand years ago humans got sicker, shorter, dumber, and softer. So if we act more like our pre-agra-ancestor we can correct some of the penalties we’ve accrued.
I lost ten pounds of fat the first month, five the next, and I feel great.
I’m sold. Want to lose weight? Want to get stronger? Buy it, read it. Done.
He also has a well maintained web presence.
I don’t own the rights to either Kool-aid or “Grok”.
First read about Mark Sisson in the Rivendell Reader. Also of interest is “Why We Get Fat and What To Do About It” by Gary Taubes.
There’s plenty of fun Paleo blogging like this guy.
This video gets at the heart of the low carb diet.
